BIRTH DOULA
A birth doula, prenatal and postnatal massage therapist, and Rebozo instructor based in Paris, France. Graduated from the School of Human Sciences at Waseda University.
After working as a yoga instructor in Japan, the United States, Canada, and France, she became a doula specializing in perinatal care after giving birth, providing massage and rebozo treatments. She is a mother of two.

Rebozo
The rebozo is a traditional Central American textile that has been used in a variety of everyday situations as well as being a symbol of women's culture.
Flat, shawl-like shapes are generally used as a cloth to hold a baby, a blanket to keep warm, a birthing net or care cloth during labor, or as an essential item for carrying a basket on the head, and because of their simple shape made from a single piece of cloth, they can be used in a variety of different ways.
Because it is one piece of cloth per woman, and because it creates a deep bond between the person who uses it,
It is clear that this is a special cloth and a symbol of a deep relationship.
The tradition of using this beautiful fabric has been passed down from mother to daughter and midwife to midwife.
The massage gently wraps around parts of the body, sometimes firmly, and lifts, rocks, and pulls the body in a simple yet unique rhythm. It is useful for relaxation before, during, and after childbirth, as well as for easing labor pains and back pain.
In recent years, rebozos have been gaining attention as internationally renowned midwives and doulas have begun sharing their experiences of using them for care.
Body care by vibrating cells through the movement of the cloth
It stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system and allows you to experience deep relaxation by focusing your attention on the inside of your body.
Not only women who have given birth, but also children, the elderly, and women raising children
This can also be practiced on loved ones around you and can be used as daily maintenance.

At the workshop, we will also be learning practical techniques, so we ask that each participant bring one rebozo.
We recommend purchasing rebozo fabric from workshops that continue to use traditional methods, as a sign of respect for Mexico's indigenous people and the artisans who preserve traditional methods.
We will purchase them in bulk from a workshop in Mexico for those who need them and sell them on the day of the workshop.
The rebozos that we plan to purchase at this workshop are from Oaxaca, a region of Mexico where traditional midwives and workshops still exist, and a portion of the sales will be donated to support the areas where the rebozos are made and the activities of traditional midwives.
The standard length of the cloth is about 250cm and the width is about 70cm.
It is also very interesting that the size is the same as a Japanese hakama obi.
Although rebozos are a traditional part of Central American culture, I hope that through this learning experience, we can also awaken and deepen the culture of using Japanese fabrics as cloths for carrying and carrying babies, as well as for assisting in childbirth.
If you have a single-piece baby carrier, handwoven shawl or blanket, or large sheet cover, please bring it along with the rebozo cloth.
